Glencoe Residence is built around an existing large curvaceous swimming pool on a one-and-a-half acre site in Glencoe, Illinois. Designed for a couple with four young daughters, the house is a simple, two-story residence with the master suite located on the first floor, with the children’s bedrooms, a large playroom, and servant’s quarters located on the second. The house and its environs also include a tennis court, a coach house with dressing rooms, and a full service kitchen.

The home is constructed of steel and concrete, and is sheathed in vertical wood siding with a Cedar shake roof. The first floor entry area, dining room and kitchen feature brick floors that match and blend with the exterior brick walks and terraces.
