Etched in Stone
Built on a rugged lakefront property, this simple house is intentionally set back on its lot to preserve the existing trees and landscaping. The plan is shaped as a modified ‘H’ to maximize the exterior wall space and lake views. The living areas are organized in three distinct zones: Private spaces are located in the north wing, public spaces are located in the center, and functional spaces are located in the south wing.
By holding the house deep off the front property line the existing trees are preserved and actually become sculptural elements in the lawn.
