939 Chicago Avenue
Our office at 939 Chicago Avenue in Evanston, Illinois. Originally a furniture warehouse, we completely stripped the interior of the building while disturbing as little of the building shell’s as possible. Minimal insertions were then made to house work space and office functions without disrupting the spirit of the now-exposed masonry and bow-truss structure.
The elegant bow-truss roof structure was left exposed, and an open studio space defined by simple custom-built wood work stations.
